ITLA President
Alexis Kokkos is the President of the International Transformative Learning Association (ITLA). He delivered his Annual Speech 2026 earlier this year. Alexis is Emeritus Professor of Adult Education at the Hellenic Open University and brings with him a vast experience in the field of transformative learning, as well as a deep understanding of ITLA, our accomplishments, and the opportunities ahead. Elements of his core vision will:
- Enhance ITLA’s reach and impact, as well as engage more organizations and countries through sociocratic processes.
- Foster connections and explore affinities between various Transformative Learning (TL) theoretical perspectives, with the goal of developing a more integrated theoretical framework.

Practitioners in our community are learning and educating others about transformative learning through praxis, moving theory into action in systems from individuals to organizations to society.
